## African Nation to Welcome Global Gaming Leaders, Seeking Investment Boost

Prepare for a major gaming gathering as Africa takes center stage! From October 31st to November 1st, Lagos, Nigeria will transform into a hub of activity, hosting the Global Gaming Summit. This event signifies a strategic step by Nigeria to solidify its presence within the international gaming arena and attract substantial overseas capital.

Evolving from a domestic event, the national government has opted to elevate the stakes, transitioning the yearly gaming summit orchestrated by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) into a renowned global assembly. This choice underscores their dedication to broadening Nigeria’s commercial horizons and propelling economic expansion.

The announcement came directly from the NLRC Director-General, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, who highlighted the summit’s objective of creating a space for Nigerian gaming frontrunners and prospective investors to engage and partner with international gaming powerhouses.

This year’s gathering is poised to surpass previous iterations in scale and impact. While past years primarily witnessed engagement from Nigerian participants, the Global Gaming Summit will draw prominent individuals and specialists from across the African continent and the worldwide gaming landscape.

The Eko Hotel, nestled on Victoria Island in Lagos, will provide the dynamic setting for this pivotal occasion.

This development coincides with Nigeria’s reinforced focus on regulatory adherence within the gaming sector. Recently, over 30 operators faced sanctions for breaching regulations, accompanied by a public advisory to avoid these prohibited entities. This action emphasizes the government’s commitment to nurturing a responsible and enduring gaming industry within Nigeria.

The gaming industry is flourishing on the African continent! South Africa and Nigeria are at the forefront, with South Africa projected to generate a massive $2.3 billion in wagers by 2023. This encompasses a wide range of options, from opulent gambling establishments to virtual card rooms.
