A prominent player in the online entertainment sector, Betsson, has announced its participation in the United Nations Global Compact, a distinguished effort promoting ethical business conduct worldwide.

Operating in more than 160 nations and involving numerous businesses and stakeholders from civil society, labor organizations, and governments, the UN Global Compact urges companies to integrate ten fundamental principles into their operations. These principles, derived from globally recognized agreements like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, offer a framework for businesses to operate in a manner that upholds human rights, labor regulations, environmental preservation, and actively combats corruption.

Betsson’s chief executive, Jesper Svensson, conveyed the company’s firm conviction in the capacity of businesses to foster positive transformation and reaffirmed their dedication to utilizing resources for a more environmentally sound and inclusive society. This dedication aligns with the UN Global Compact’s objective to mobilize a worldwide movement of sustainable enterprises and stakeholders to shape the world we desire.

Betsson has committed to delivering a yearly report outlining its efforts in enacting these guidelines and the effects of its participation.

This arrangement follows Betsson’s latest collaboration with Greco, which will furnish the company with a risk assessment tool.
