Last week, 888 Holdings concluded its purchase of William Hill’s operations outside the United States. To mark the occasion, the company welcomed new members to its leadership team. Andrea Gisle Joosen, Andria Vidler, and Randy Freer have been appointed as independent non-executive directors, expanding the board to a total of nine individuals.

Joosen, a prominent figure in Swedish business, has a history of board involvement, including extended periods with electronics retailer Currys and Swedish pulp and paper manufacturer Billerud. Her familiarity with the wagering sector is evident through her previous position on the board of Mr Green, a company that William Hill acquired in 2018. Joosen’s career also encompasses senior management roles at Panasonic and Twentieth Century Fox Nordic.

With three decades of experience in marketing and technology, Vidler currently holds the position of CEO at Tag EMEA. Her notable background includes senior roles at Bauer Media and the BBC. Furthermore, she served on the board of Gamesys, where she led the ESG committee.

Rounding out the new additions, Freer leads Freer & Co, a consulting firm specializing in business strategy and brand narrative development. Before establishing his own venture, he held the CEO position at the streaming platform Hulu.

888s non-executive chairman, Lord Mendelsohn, greeted three fresh faces on the board: Andrea, a different person also called Andrea, and Randy. He lauded their varied backgrounds, which he feels will be essential as 888, following its recent acquisition of William Hill, evolves into a significantly bigger organization.

Additionally, the firm revealed that seasoned industry expert Ori Shaked will be joining the board, subject to regulatory clearance.
