Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has finalized the purchase of online gambling establishment operator Lucky Dino Gaming Limited through its Malta-licensed subsidiary Esport Entertainment (Malta) for roughly $30 million (£21.5 million/€24.9 million).

EEG finished the $30 million acquisition of Lucky Dino.
In this acquisition, Malta-licensed Lucky Dino was guided by RB.capital.

By obtaining Lucky Dino’s business assets, EEG now has access to its own casino platform, which the company states provides impressive simplicity, scalability, and adaptability.

Lucky Dino’s proprietary technology stack includes affiliate marketing software, payment servers, and a customer relationship management system with gamification and loyalty engines, providing automated player management.

“Over the past five years, Lucky Dino has progressed from a single-brand white-label casino operator to a multi-brand, top-tier casino operator and technology company,” stated EEG CEO Grant Johnson.

In addition to bolstering our technological infrastructure, Lucky Dino’s resources will offer a strong base for us in various new European regions, particularly in Scandinavia where electronic sports are highly sought after. With Lucky Dino’s 25,000 active casino players each month, we will have significant cross-selling opportunities on the SportNation and VIE.bet gaming platforms.

Johnson continued to outline Lucky Dino’s growth trajectory in recent years, reporting that its earnings increased at a compound annual growth rate of 86% in the five years ending June 30, 2020.

In the end, he stated, the company will be dedicated to introducing Lucky Dino’s online casino platform to the US market in the future, alongside its VIE.bet esports offering.

EEG announced the takeover last December, with the $30 million cost to be covered through debt financing provided by the organization.

This is the most recent acquisition completed by the company this year, following its acquisition agreement for esports tournament organizer Esports Gaming League (EGL) in January.

Later that month, EEG finalized binding agreements to acquire Helix eSports and ggCircuit, two brands.

Helix eSports owns five electronic sports centers and also operates Genji Analytics, an electronic sports analytics provider, while ggCircuit is a B2B software provider that offers cloud-based management for LAN centers, as well as a tournament platform and integrated wallet and point-of-sale solutions for enterprise clients.
