The Kentucky High Court has reinstated an $870 million verdict against the Stars Group. Flutter Entertainment, the owner of the Stars Group, was taken aback by the ruling. This decision reverses a 2018 ruling by the state’s Court of Appeals.

The court boosted the interest rate on the outstanding amount to 12% annually. This implies that the Stars Group will be required to pay a significantly larger sum.

The decision is the final outcome of a legal action against PokerStars for providing gambling services to 34,000 Kentucky residents between 2006 and 2011. During this period, PokerStars generated approximately $18 million in income from Kentucky.
