A prominent online gaming enterprise, Flutter Entertainment, has become a member of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA).

The firm, which controls well-known betting brands such as Paddy Power and Betfair, stated its aim to promote accountable gaming practices across Europe.

“We are pleased to welcome Flutter to the EGBA and acknowledge their dedication to making gambling more sustainable and ethical in Europe,” remarked Maarten Haijer, the EGBA’s head.

“Our goal is to ensure that online gambling in Europe operates in a more unified and responsible manner, and we encourage other reputable online gambling companies to join our ranks,” he further stated.

The EGBA has been actively working towards enhancing the safety of gambling in Europe. Their initial report indicated an increase in the utilization of responsible gambling tools, and they advocate for the implementation of electronic ID verification systems throughout Europe.

Flutters top legal representative, Pádraig Ó Ríordáin, stated: “The principles of secure gaming and responsible growth are fundamental to all our endeavors at Flutter. Therefore, joining the EGBA was a logical progression for us. We anticipate collaborating with other members to ensure the European online gambling sector operates with greater unity in its functions and obligations.”
